Friday I am going to a concert at the Royal Festival Hall. Under the wonderful baton of Sir Simon rattle the performance I am sure will be marvellous. Classical and Romantic music will be performed. Kabalefsky but I am not too sure.  On the way I hope to have a quick meal but with the excitement I do not know. Feeding myself will be important as they may play Mahler and he goes on for an hour. Following the concert I might meet my friend,  Christine,  but she is mad so I will have to see. Catching up with friends can be so much fun. Until they start messing around and being rude and annoying. Naturally I try my best to keep everything light. Temperamentally I am quite calm but she can get me tense at the best of times.  But I intent to enjoy myself and that's the point. I adore the music and let myself go. Trying as Christine is she will not spoil the music. However, I will be prepared with a flask of whisky.
